So I picked up a flyer at the goth club (good band playing from Sweden, by the way. In Grey, if anyone’s interested).
The flyer is for an event in Lithuania that sounds AMAZING. I transcribe:
:::::::::::::::::::::::Black Horned Moon:::::::::::::::::::::::
concerts|exhibitions|films|rituals|lectures|crafts|dance
The seventh burning ritual of Menuo Juodaragis takes place in Kernave, the ancient centre of culture and magic in the last Pagan land of Europe. The wonderful place in the forest, by the Neris river, situated in 30km from Vilnius, Northwestern direction. The smithery of Black Horned Moon broadcasts the unity of Past and Future in darkened frequencies – ethno, industrial, neofolk, gothic, ebm, tribal, metal, avantgarde etc. 3 days of pulsating Mystery. Come and be charmed by the magic of Baltic lands!
…We walk in the Circle.
This is followed by a long list of bands and Djs I’ve never heard of.
Tickets are a mere €9 for the whole three days. More info here.
So, what’s the problem?
a) it’s from 22 August to 24 August. That’s effectively tomorrow.
b) low on funds. Unsure how much it costs to go to Lithuania.
c) wasn’t on the plan. Don’t even know if I need a visa. Deciding to go means today turns into a ‘run-around-and-check buses and stuff’ day instead of museum and fun day.
d) original plan was to go to St Petersburg saturday night or something. This squeezes that plan, but only slightly.
Opinions? Should I forget it or just say stuff it, I’m going to Lithuania!
