I just happen to have arrived in Vienna the weekend they have the Lange Nacht der Museen (the long night of museums) where for a €12 ticket, you can get access to all 40 of Vienna’s museums so long as you see them between 6pm and 1am. They run buses between the sites to make it easier.
The weather is superb and I’ve spent the afternoon sitting in the Museums Quartier courtyard again doing Macworld work and mailing. There’s a band playing jazz and klezmer and other stuff and I couldn’t ask for more.
Tomorrow I go to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic and I’m trying to change my flight so I don’t have to leave Prague in seven days but rather on Oct 1 or 2. I’ll be late back to Australia as I’ll be going to Paris again to visit the penfriend I missed I think, and maybe even catch up with Michel in Lille.
If anyone wants my apartment from early October until October 27-ish, please let me know.
I’ll also probably be heading to Sydney first for my sister’s wedding… the plan is to be there from about October 17. I really *don’t* want to come home. Sorry guys…
