People, including myself, generally complain about the food in England. I have discovered the solution. When eating out, insist that sluis takes you to good Thai restuarants with Cheap Eats stickers and eat all other meals at pollyanna_n’s. The red curry was delish and the cambozola(some sort of gorgonzola meets camembert) at Jo’s is heavenly. Toast with perfect ricotta for breakfast, superbly marinated salmon for dinner with great rose. I think I’m eating better here than anywhere else in the entire trip.

Yesterday was great. Started out at Camden Markets with Richard Rannard, old friend from hanging around Sydney Uni, met up with another friend, Michela Ledwidge (Jamie Walker’s cousin for those wot might recall), had coffee, went to the Lord of the Rings exhibition at the Science Museum with sluis and her delightful friend Ryan (oh my, the costumes, the scrolls, the swords, the costumes, the life size sleeping Boromir, the swords, the costumes, the elven intricacies, the elven telescope, Legolas’ white knives and bow…) (and can I mention again, I love my press pass?), then met up with the ever-gorgeous steampunk, went to the Natural History Museum, looked at the blue whale, looked at some stunning aerial photographs outside and came home. (Okay, so maybe London isn’t all bad.…*grin*)

Off sightseeing with Jo today, in Rochester.
