Taking a break from the extraordinarily tedious entry of receipts from Europe into business software. Have to translate every receipt from original currency into Aust dollars using the exchange rate of the day the expense was incurred. Dull.

So, I’ve had a good weekend with lots of fun conspiring with Niels in Holland to give daisynerd an enormous bunch of anniversary flowers and going to lovely brunch at frou_frou and drzero’s place when I haven’t been sitting on the couch feeling sick.

In other news, have started thinking about thesis things again thanks to a discussion with delve and paracelsus at hasimir and neef’s party on Friday night. paracelsus recommended I check out Alain Badiou and someone else (please send me the name, as I’ve completely forgotten it) which reminded me that someone else mentioned I should check out Antonio Negri (along the lines of ‘he says the multitude is to the net what the mass is to the media’).

Anyhow, I found a couple of fairly interesting links, including Slavoj Zizek’s review of Negri and Hardt’s book Empire and a critical article about Negri and State infiltration of resistance movements.

I also met a sexy young thing named nailer on Friday night, another bizarre ‘woah, small world’ kind of experience. hawk_eye, I believe you know this gentleman?
