Hey, sleazemonkey! Remember we were talking about Mel Gibson’s film, The Passion of the Christ, entirely filmed in Aramaic and Latin and claimed to be “the most biblically accurate depiction of the crucifixion ever made”?

You might be interested in this article at Salon (you have to watch an ad to get a day pass if you’re not a subscriber). It’s an interview with a priest who saw it and is deeply disturbed by its inaccuracies, the chance it may again raise charges of deicide against Jews, Gibson’s implied racism in general and a perceived obsession with torture and gore.

Mind you, having had a look at the IMDb listing, some nice casting there: Monica Bellucci as Mary Magdalene… of course, no one will ever do Magdalene like PJ Harvey did.
