Just updated my home page as any of you actually reading this on the home page will notice. So, as you do, I then did a vanity search on Google to see what came up on my name these days and whether my new home page is still at the top (it’s not, the “about” page is first, followed by the old imladris page. Will have to remove the old imladris page to change that…)

Anyhow, apart from the fact that I now rate about 450 hits, I then did my name plus “poetry”. Good, the first page is the “about” page, the second is now my old poetry page (not yet updated). Scroll down… Brian Massumi has written an essay that references my interview with Sandy Stone from 1995. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

Massumi is the guy who translated Deleuze and Guattari’s Thousand Plateaus and wrote Capitalism and Schizophrenia: A user’s guide. He just happened to be teaching at UQ when I was doing my Honours so I managed to wrangle him as my external examiner. But I never expected him to read an article I wrote.

On other matters: go to hell, John Howard. Yay Latham for the maternity payment and yes, we do want you to stop talking about “national security” and concentrate on social issues. Wish I’d been at the RMIT student protest today but I was volunteering at ACMI for the Empires and Ruins conference. Check it out, it looks good. Shit, there was a shooting in Brunswick. Everyone okay?
