Silly minor gripe for the morning.
Female should be the adjective and woman the noun. So I don’t want to see “women contenders” in an Age article about candidates for the Family Law Court. Nor do I want to hear “It was because she was a female.”
I know, I know. There are three thousand more important issues in the world right now. Apostrophes in plurals, for example.
