Word count: 17,000

I finally felt like I was close enough to pull out those mar­ginal bits and put them in the mar­gins, so now I can do a real word count…

And I’m 1000 words over.

So, now it’s cut­ting and refining.

I feel like I have three thou­sand things I still haven’t said, but that’s just the way of things. It’s such a small pro­ject in the wider scheme of things. All of you people who have writ­ten PhDs and books, I take my hat off to you. You are truly amaz­ing people.

And now I’m hungry.
