Applied for the Good Weekend Deputy Editor’s job. Fingers crossed.
Spent a lovely Tuesday at ACMI, in the morning watching the unveiling of Adam Elliot’s Oscar for Harvey Krumpet, and saying hi to Melanie Coombs, the producer (who does remember me from Uni, yay!) and getting my photo taken holding the Oscar (I’ll post it somewhere when I have a digital version of it) and then in the afternoon, transcribing tapes of Cate Shortland being interviewed for a book on short films.
I’m planning on catching some of the Animation Festival if anyone wants to go.
I’ve been spending every spare moment wrenching my Web site into some sort of order. Considering it’s been agglomerating and accreting since about 1994, it’s not in bad shape, only two different areas that need to be merged and only three different design styles that need to be harmonised. It’s such a huge overhaul I’m just going to do the whole thing and then upload all at once. Thanks to Dreamweaver’s sitewide search and replace, changing over from the old font tags to CSS is less painful than I would have thought. I now know that I have 265 pages in my site though.
And finally, I think this project to connect Spain and Morocco together via WiFi is totally brilliant. Pics here.
Oh and can someone tell gadge that someone from CCA with a very out-of-date phone book called for him and could he phone them please? I don’t have any contact details for Julian any more.
