I have the results for my thesis.

The good news is that I got an HD. 80%. Scraped into an HD

The bad news is that as I’ve never been a huge fan of competition or grading like that because I am hyper-competitive and I don’t like that in myself (I deliberately chose to do an ungraded undergraduate degree), I’m more interested in the comments.

And the comments say I didn’t state my research questions clearly and that the thesis is “short on clear and original outcomes”. This is pretty much accurate: it’s all the stuff I was worried about when I kept saying I was scared it wouldn’t do well.

Well, I guess the good way to look at this is that the examiner saw all the flaws that were in there and still thought it was worth an HD. The good comments are: “The thesis exhibits an excellent and sophisticated level of research and scholarship – publication level”.

Yay!!!!!!

More interesting commentary on the Maus exhibition, the Jewish Musuem, the 2004 exhibition and the Philip Brophy musical odyssey soon. Promise!
