No time to write, really, but feel like I must or I will lose the three thousand things on my mind.
- Furious about the growing homophobia in this country. I may think state-registered marriage is a heteropatriarchal construct designed to enforce bourgeois nuclear family structures for the benefit of capitalist-and-or-feudal regimes, but that’s beside the point. No state should have the right to *deny* two people in love their chosen way of expressing that love in public (you know, unless it involves going on a gun rampage…)
- Happy about the cool thing sleazemonkey told me about last night. Apparently a witch running for council somewhere won an anti-discrimination case on Friday and in the process became the first person in Australia to swear an oath to the Goddess to tell the truth, the whole truth and so on. - Stressed about gig tonight. Feel like it is half-baked.
- Impressed with the guy who performed poetry with the ambient outfit called “Of, or pertaining to” on Friday after my gig. Beautiful pieces, brilliantly put together. Must find out his name,
- Yay for sexy tall red-haired curvy women with legs that go all the way up. Mmm, Bonnie, you’re yummy. (and while we’re at it, yay for spa parties and rooms filled with cushions and mattresses and good heating.)
- Boo for writers who equate feminity with ‘child-like’ (I’m not kidding… I’m sitting at home editing next week’s copy, and this is one of the lines I’ve just encountered. And from a woman.)
Um. I think that is all for now.
