The Attor­ney-Gen­eral, on the recom­mend­a­tion of the Anti-Discrimination
Board of New South Wales, Sydney, Aus­tralia, has gran­ted exemp­tions from
the Anti-Dis­crim­in­a­tion Act to allow pub­licly-funded refuges Mission
Aus­tralia and Edward Eagar Lodge to refuse ser­vices and access to homeless
trans­sexual women. We the under­signed believe this to be unacceptably
dis­crim­in­at­ing against the most vul­ner­able of home­less women and
accord­ingly we call upon the Attor­ney Gen­eral to over­turn these exemptions
and not allow unfair dis­crim­in­a­tion against trans­sexual women.
