Stressed. Lots of stuff on.

Went to Lawrence Lessig talk yes­ter­day. Was more like watch­ing poetry per­form­ance it was so pol­ished and beau­ti­fully timed. Res­ol­u­tion: must rehearse own work against inter­est­ing but elu­sive slide shows.

Went to Warhol exhib­i­tion again on last day as pro­cras­tin­a­tion to avoid mark­ing. Was awe­some. Res­ol­u­tion: must finish work­ing on travel web stuff from 2003 so can get onto set­ting up funky poetry site with time cap­sule spot for scan­ning flot­sam and jetsam of life and create col­lect­ive com­munity trash repos­it­ory as art.

Fin­ished mark­ing. Res­ol­u­tion: must not accept jobs taking on hol­i­day edit­ing for friends at pointy end of teach­ing semester.

Mark gave his guest lec­ture. Was utterly awe­some. Stu­dents impressed. All good. Res­ol­u­tion: must buy Mark dinner sometime.

Gave two tutes for magazine edit­ing. Went over assign­ment. Res­ol­u­tion: must be kinder in deliv­ery of criticisms.

Got letter from good friend ending friend­ship. Get­ting used to this. Sigh. Under­stand but sad. Res­ol­u­tion: must hon­estly appraise own behaviour.

Watched Cate Blanchett on Enough Rope. She quotes from all sorts of things con­stantly. She is lovely and incred­ible. The accents. The gen­er­os­ity. Am in love. He is a bril­liant inter­viewer. Wonder if he remem­bers me from when I was 16 and we were all in Theatres­ports together. Doubt it. Res­ol­u­tion: must read more. Must borrow more books from lib­rary and become widely read person I used to be so I can quote from all sorts of things too.

Am now drink­ing really good Dal­whin­nie Scotch brought back from Scot­land by drzero and frou_frou. Res­ol­u­tion: must relax. Oh, and pay them back the $30 I still owe them for bottle of really good Scotch.
