The insurance money came through, the stars aligned, and I am now the owner of a new-for-me Vespa to replace Astrid. The new one is the same model, same year, same colour as the old one but has a top box on the back that mine didn’t have but that I always kind of meant to investigate getting.
Thanks a million to subtle_eye for checking it out, test-riding it and now picking it up in Canberra. Now, to just work out getting it down to Melbourne. subtle_eye has proposed he ride it down but I think he’s slightly loopy. Lovely thought though!
