Never one to let a setback set me back very far, I spent some of Wednesday working on a position paper for a very cool project jeamland proposed to me and spent this afternoon phoning various politicians’ offices in the hope of getting endorsements for the project.

I sent the position paper to Julia Gillard, Natasha Stott-Despoja, Petro Georgiou, Kerry Nettle, Greg Combet, and Julian Burnside. Kerry Nettle’s office is keen and I’ve already had good feedback from the ACTU Communications guy.

Then while I was having an afternoon drink with my mentor and workshopping plans for the future takeover of publishing (and then the world), I mentioned I couldn’t find a contact number for Malcolm Fraser and she said she knows someone who’s going out with or married to his son. She also had some very good ideas for angel investors and how to get in touch with them. She’s wonderful (and very enthusiastic).

The next thing I want to do is seriously get onto the Picnic Project idea… there must be many government grants that would cover something like that, surely? Research soon.
