Back at Techno Ghetto, I look at the What Where When guide. I’m determined to find some things and do something on the program, just to show it’s possible. I find that there is a live, life-size version of Settlers of Catan at Hex Camp, with pick-up games at 2pm every day. I head over there and find people ready for a game, including

(*waves*).

The game is brilliant. Each resource is a little toy or a sheaf of canes wrapped together for ”grain”.

The robber was George Bush.

Halfway through the game, someone suggested we remove the desert hex and just have the desert itself show through. Many people passed and laughed at that. This photo is me having declared a sheep monopoly shortly after my opponents got many many sheepses:

Afterwards,

and I head to the ”park”, a shaded pyramid of sod at 5.15 and Estuary and from there to the Lost Penguin Café where we drink red wine and eat chocolate caramels.
