- My project went live yesterday morning after a week where I worked 11 hours on Sunday and until 10pm Tuesday and Thursday. I fixed many broken links and rewrote the differentiation points for the marketing staff. We had a party in the afternoon yesterday and they gave me an enormous bunch of yellow gerberas and orange tulips and said thank you and they couldn’t have done it without me and lots of people congratulated me on the fact that the site is now actually friendly and approachable. There are still Things I Want To Do With It but they can wait. There are also errant apostrophes pasted from Word by People Who Are Not Me that need to be turned into proper ASCII codes so they don’t show up as garbled text.
- I am constantly amused by the Top Five stories for the SMH and The Age as listed on the bottom of my Age news alert email. If it’s accurate, Melburnians are predominantly interested in politics and sex while Sydney-siders are predominantly interested in the stock market and celebrities.
- Some libertarian in the US is suing Texas to take Obama and McCain off the ballot because they missed the deadline for registering. I think this is hiLARious. Can’t be bothered finding the link to it right now but it’s on joedecker ‘s blog.
- Doug showed me an unbelievably awesome video of some guys making a station ID for some kung fu thing. Incredible work.
- I didn’t do the ‘take a photo of yourself right now’ meme because I was at work and didn’t have a camera but I quite liked what my clothes and hair were then so I’m going to cheat and get back into those clothes and do my hair that way again and post that. Maybe. If I can be bothered. Right now, I’m going to pay some bills and clean the house and wash my hair and generally try to stop procrastinating.
