Brown has been replaced as the key co-ordinator for disaster relief. So much for doing “a heck of a job,” eh? I first read this as saying he’d been fired as head of FEMA. I’m still amazed he hasn’t been, given the ongoing questions about artificially inflating his experience on his résumé. Perhaps that’ll come yet.
(And as an aside, I’m annoyed with myself for how obsessed I am with this disaster when I barely commented on the Iraqi tragedy of the 1000 dead during the recent bombscare, or various other world issues. I especially feel that I should be saying more about Kofi Annan’s implication in the oil-for-food scandal, but I think that one just depresses me so much I can’t bear to think about it.)
