Emergency protest – defy Howard’s anti-democratic terror laws!
Called by Civil Rights Defence.
John Howard’s new terror laws won’t combat or stop terrorism. These laws are designed to silence free speech.
The new ‘sedition’ laws could apply to anyone, including anti-war protesters, civil rights activists, unionists and journalists – and anyone who expresses dissent.
On November 28, the new terror legislation will be presented to the Senate. Join us for in an emergency protest – a mass reading of seditious statements on the steps of Parliament House!
Seditious statements provided – or bring your own!
“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act” – George Orwell
“But there is only one thing which gathers people into seditious commotion, and that is oppression” – John Locke
“Liberty has never come from the government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of it. The history of liberty is a history of resistance.” – Woodrow Wilson
