Just read this art­icle about the US’ plans to ‘fight the net’ as an enemy weapons system if it comes down to it, spe­cific­ally plans to “dis­rupt or des­troy the full spec­trum of glob­ally emer­ging com­mu­nic­a­tions sys­tems, sensors, and weapons sys­tems depend­ent on the elec­tro­mag­netic spec­trum” if neces­sary. Also forgot to blog about that whole thing with the Brit­ish spies in Russia. My favour­ite bits of this are “The secur­ity ser­vice has begun search­ing Moscow for other sus­pi­cious rocks” and Putin’s later com­ment that Russia should­n’t expel these spies, because maybe the next ones would be brighter.

Oh, and then there’s the two Cana­dian radio pun­dits who man­aged to trick Chirac into think­ing he was speak­ing with newly elec­ted Cana­dian leader, Stephen Harper.
