It’s quite compelling stuff: interviews with the soldiers who committed the torture at Abu Ghraib. SBS interviews two former guards there, and (former) Lt. General Janice Karpinski, the one-time officer in charge of Abu Ghraib. The buck-passing isn’t shocking so much as depressing, but this is the sort of media reportage we should be seeing.
Those of you in the US are unlikely to see this sort of frank examination of motives and effects, so spread the link to this show as far as you can.
