I am now one of two directors of a proprietary limited company.

It seems surreal.

So… today:

I attended the first day of my Certificate IV in Small Business Management, my colleague Dale registered the company with ASIC, he opened our business bank accounts, we met afterwards and applied for an ABN, registered for GST and PAYG withholding so we can pay staff properly down the track, registered a domain name, bought hosting, delegated our domain, set up e‑mail addresses and went and tried to buy some hardware from Apple on RentSmart (but they want the actual ABN, not just an application and apparently an ACN is insufficient).

I’ve just stuck the most basic holding page you can imagine there, but we have a site now.

We still urgently need ad sales staff.

I’m amazed and happy. What with this and a certain beautiful soul who’s about to call me again, my life is looking pretty incredible right now. I hope I can share some of this with others…

Oh, and don’t forget, 4th of July campaign launch for the G20 convergence, tomorrow @ Bar 303 in Northcote!
