You (hopefully) know by now that the G20 is coming to town… the finance ministers and central bankers of 19 of the world’s richest countries representing 90% of their wealth, yadda yadda. If you don’t know this yet and want more info about why that’s a bad thing, check out the articles at StopG20.
I’m wondering two things:
1. Are there any of my lovely pagan friends here who would like to form a pagan affinity group on the day of the Carnival Against Capitalism and do something like Starhawk’s crew did with the flowing blue silk water banner to represent Bolivian water at one of the SF protests? I’m not proposing we reproduce her street theatre, but rather that we come up with something pagan and have a colourful and meaningful pagan space and crew to hang out with on the day of the party.
2. On the Sunday, I’m planning to hand out “inoculation packs” against the neo-liberal disease that has infected our world. Basically, they’ll be lollies with an info sheet in them. I am looking for people with lab coats to donate and people to help put in money to print info sheets and people to help make little packs of lollies with an info sheet and hand them out on the day.
Any one interested in either of these projects?
