So, finished that article, on the courses being held at the UME. Couldn’t work out who I could write it for and in the end succumbed to pitching it to the Australian Jewish News, which should make my mother happy (hi, Mum!). They said they were interested but it’s still essentially on spec, which means I’ve just spent two days working on something I may not get paid for in the end anyhow… and the pay rate is relatively low compared to my usual (about what you pay, dr_nic). BUT! Enough of this griping! I’ve written an article about peace and sustainable development, goddamnit. In a warzone. It’s what I want to be writing about, right?
Man, it was nice to be writing something non-tech-related.
Now, another quandary: I need reading material. And I can’t keep buying books, they weigh too much to cart around. And I don’t have the time or money to find stuff online to download. I need you all to send me eBooks you’ve already downloaded. I’m looking at you, delwyn. I’ll happily take any PDFs too. And scripts in development, patchworkkid?
