I am so disappointed and angry at Amanda Vanstone’s response to this ship being ‘escorted’ back to Indonesia. She says it demonstrates that excising the islands from our migration zone was the right thing to do. Excuse me? How, exactly? I didn’t expect her to be any better than Ruddock, it’s just I’d been away from it all for a while and I’d forgotten how idiotic our politicians sound when they’re trying to defend indefensible policies.
