Poetry gig! This Saturday! [1]

Reminder: Yours truly, mord­wen, is fea­tur­ing at the Dan O’Con­nell in Fitzroy read­ing poesie from The Trip.

Widely rumoured to be a knee-jerk reac­tion to a large cash inflow called a “redund­ancy pack­age”, mord­wen’s “Span­ish phase” was one of her more pro­duct­ive. Unlike some of her pre­vi­ous depress­ing poetry, the new mater­ial is influ­enced by nature, polit­ics, his­tory and of course, mord­wen’s staple, sex. “What can I say?” she says. “The heat got to me.” Some of the poetry com­bines polit­ics and sex. “Per­fec­tion at last, really,” com­ments the author.

mord­wen will also be per­form­ing older mater­ial “but not the depress­ing shit. I’ve had enough of that for a while thanks,” she said.
