Reminder: Yours truly, mordwen, is featuring at the Dan O’Connell in Fitzroy reading poesie from The Trip.
Widely rumoured to be a knee-jerk reaction to a large cash inflow called a “redundancy package”, mordwen’s “Spanish phase” was one of her more productive. Unlike some of her previous depressing poetry, the new material is influenced by nature, politics, history and of course, mordwen’s staple, sex. “What can I say?” she says. “The heat got to me.” Some of the poetry combines politics and sex. “Perfection at last, really,” comments the author.
mordwen will also be performing older material “but not the depressing shit. I’ve had enough of that for a while thanks,” she said.
When: Tomorrow, from 2pm till about 5pm.
Where: Dan O’Connell Hotel, Fitzroy
[1] Ah, the irony! After discussing the pointlessness of LJ invites, I’m issuing another one. Oh well…
