This whole living at the cutting edge thing is really frustrating.
I’m trying to find academic – or at least scholarly – texts addressing the cultural and textual implications of RSS, ebooks and handheld delivery; the Web as a visual medium and the impact of Flash/QuickTime/slideshows and so on; and analyses of Web sites as support for non-Web media.
It ain’t easy.
Mind you, today I’ve been searching the Web rather than actually searching academic databases or – McLuhan forbid – the repository of dead trees known as the University Library. This I will do tomorrow. I just thought it was unlikely I’d find up-to-date material…
One thing I did find though was reference to one of delve’s papers, so that made me happy. Wrong sort of convergence, but fun.
