Whoo hooo! Finally, a sensible way to search for academic texts: http://scholar.google.com. Of course, I just did a search that would ahve aided me with my thesis and scared myself at how little of it I had found via conventional methods.
I am looking forward to the days of the agent I send out that truly can capture what I want and yet has programmable levels of serendipity.
In other news, I am off to a protest at the magistrate’s court over the woman who used water-soluble paint to write an anti-war slogan intending to wash it off after the protest (hmmm) and is now being charged with a $9000 clean-up bill because police arrested her before she had a chance to come good on her intention. I’m not entirely convinced she was going to clean it up. But I still think she shouldn’t be charged $9000 for a bucket of water and some people with rags rubbing a wall for an hour.
