So much to tell…

In Sydney, xammy talked again of Spain… what was a vague plan for a few of us to move to Barcelona has now become a vision of eight Australian film-makers, some of them quite well known, and me, living in a wild Spanish Apartment-style share house. They will run around Europe and the Middle East making documentaries and I will run the office… It’s fantastically exciting.

Then I came back to two sessions of ResFest: Cinema Electronica and Videos That Rock, awesome pulsing visions of screen sense and aural delights, that I will eventually (I hope) describe in more detail.

Tuesday night was a belated Thanksgiving and first night Chanukah at orethule’s place, which was fabulous. Lots of amazing people, great to be with friends, great to light my Chanukiah again, wonderful to see so many people I hadn’t seen for ages. Especially wonderful to see purple_silk and arcanumveritas and to hold baby Tristan for a little while. I’m as clucky as ever… he’s gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.

Last night was the Fairfax Community Newspaper end-of-year party, where I got very very drunk, had a fabulous time, and where Melbourne Weekly won the best publication of the network and a bunch of our other staff got gongs too.

I’m feeling pretty upbeat about life right now. Too many choices, though…
