Won’t be doing the Fringe thing as didn’t get my $190 registration fee in by the deadline yesterday. That’s okay. Next time, and I’ll get some co-conspirators so it’s less hefty.

Did meet with the lovely ladies from the World Poetry festival who I will be helping with a world poetry web site. Very excited about that.

Proofs for Unique Traveller came back: very thrilling and it looks fabulous but unfortunately due to a strange tic in Illustrator 10 we weren’t aware of, none of the little illustrations of powerpoint sockets in various countries came through on the page and we had to fix it and re-send about 16 pages. Note to any students reading: that’s at a cost of about $30 per page. These are the sorts of things you just can’t see in-house, because your standard colour proofer, even a CMYK one like ours, will just print what’s on screen, not necessarily what will end up in the RIPped file.

Meanwhile, have a photo of me and my nephew Leo, taken at Mum’s party on Monday.
